 Abundant foliage dominates the landscape of Palos Verdes
LOCATION:
Palos Verdes lies in the foothills along the Pacific Ocean, approximately 30 miles south west of Los Angeles. This upscale community has one of the highest per capita incomes in California.
SCHOOL:
Palos Verdes Peninsula High School is situated atop Hawthorne Blvd. The high school offers a panoramic view of the city of Los Angeles and the San Gabriel mountains to the north and the beach communities to the west. Classrooms are modernized with air conditioning and upscale technology. Internet access is available in each room and 2 computer labs are available for participants. All classes offered are held in classrooms located near the center of the campus (near the Library-Media center, which is also open for use).
OPTIONAL TRIPS:
Option #1:Gondola tour through the canals of Naples, California.
Cost: $45 per person that includes beverage, boat cruise, tax, gratuity, and transportation
Time: Wednesday evening, August 11th, (cruise at 7:00PM)
Transportation: Vans will escort participants to and from hotels
Reservations: Seating is limited; reservations must be made prior to the workshop and secured by payment; no refunds may be granted.
More Info: The Gondola Getaway established in 1982 brings old world charm and a thousand year old tradition to Long Beach. Authentic Venetian gondolas gently cruise the enchanting canals and waterways of Naples Island near the resort area of Belmont Shore in Long Beach.
Each cruise is approximately one hour. An ice bucket and wine glasses are provided. Southern California AP* will provide beverages for each group. Reservations are limited to the first 50 individuals who enroll.
