Jeff Norby is entering his 20th year as psychology educator, with service at the university, community college, and high school levels. Currently, Jeff teaches Learning & Motivation, Child Development, Behavior Modification, and Psychology 101 at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
Prior to UWRF Jeff served four years as faculty at Wisconsin’s Northcentral Technical College, and 13 years as an AP® Psychology instructor at high schools in the Chicagoland, Green Bay, and Twin Cities areas. Outside of the classroom, Jeff has served at the AP® Reading for 18 years in both reading and table leading capacities, and is currently serving in his 14th year as a consultant for the College Board facilitating workshops like this one at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School.
Jeff earned his Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his Master’s in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Some of Jeff’s reading interests include the impact of seating arrangements on learning, the functions of humor, student agency, and the creation of airtight syllabi/course policies.
In his free time Jeff enjoys the programming of NPR and can frequently be found trekking the coulees and bluffs of Western Wisconsin hill country.
