Laura Brandt currently teaches Advanced Placement Psychology and serves as the Department Chair of the Social Studies Department at Grayslake Central High School in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Laura received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She received a Master’s degree in American History from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Psychology at DePaul University and is currently working on her administrative degree at Concordia University. Laura also studied at Oxford University in London while working on her Master’s degree in History.
Laura was a finalist for the 2008 Illinois teacher of the year and has been a contributor to a test banks, lesson plans and course reviews. In addition, Laura has been a reader for the Advanced Placement Psychology Exam for the past twelve years and serves as a consultant for the College Board. Laura has served on the board for the Teachers Of Psychology In Secondary Schools, which represents high school teachers in the American Psychological Association. Laura also teaches AP Psychology online through the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University.
